American Idol 2024 Voting How to Vote for American Idol? American Idol App for Voting

American Idol 2024:: Voting How to Vote for American Idol?

During Sunday night's episode of "American Idol," viewers had the chance to vote for their favorite contestants during a special voting window. This voting window closed at the end of the final commercial break of the episode. The same voting window will also apply to Monday's episode, where the top eight contestants will compete for a spot in the top seven.

There are three easy ways for fans to cast their votes for their preferred contestants on "American Idol." Firstly, they can vote online by visiting idolvote.abc.com. However, to vote online, fans need to create an account. Alternatively, fans can also use the official "American Idol" app, which they can download from either the App Store or the Google Play Store. Lastly, viewers can vote via text message.

Each contestant will have a unique number assigned to them, and fans can text this number to "21523" during the voting window. It's important to note that viewers can submit up to 10 votes per voting method for each contestant. This means they can cast up to 10 votes online, 10 votes through the app, and 10 votes via text for their favorite contestant. This system allows fans to show their support for their preferred singers and help determine who will advance in the competition.

How does American idol voting work?

On American Idol, starting from the semi-finals, the fate of the contestants is in the hands of the public. This means that viewers like you get to decide who stays and who goes. Here's how it works: When a contestant performs on the show, a special telephone number is displayed on the screen. Each contestant has their own number. You can vote for your favorite by calling or sending a text message to that number.

After the episode ends, there's a voting period that lasts for two hours (or up to four hours for the finale) in each U.S. time zone. During this time, you can call or text as many times as you want to vote for your favorite contestant. But, to keep things fair, the show can discard votes if they think someone is trying to cheat by using special equipment to vote a lot more than everyone else.

Each week, one or more of the contestants with the lowest votes might be eliminated from the competition. This continues until there's only one winner left. In the first season, over 110 million votes were cast, and by the tenth season, that number had grown to nearly 750 million! The voting system has changed over time. Text messaging became a way to vote in the second season when AT&T Wireless became a sponsor.

That season, 7.5 million text messages were sent to American Idol. By the eighth season, this number had shot up to 178 million text messages! In the tenth season, online voting was introduced, allowing people to vote through the internet. The votes are carefully counted and verified by a company called Telescope, Inc., to make sure the results are accurate. So, if you're watching American Idol and want to support your favorite singer, you know exactly how to cast your vote!
