Black Myth Wukong Chapter 1 All Bosses and Locations
In Chapter 1 of Black Myth: Wukong, there are 11 bosses, but only 9 appear in the Journal. Out of these, 5 are Yaoguai Kings and 4 are Yaoguai Chiefs. There are also 2 secret bosses: Elder Jinchi and the Red Loong, which need specific steps to unlock. Steps to Obtain the Loong Scale
To get the Loong Scale and unlock the Red Loong boss fight, follow these steps:
- Progress through Chapter 2: First, complete the initial part of Chapter 2, including the fight against the Rat King and the Second Rat Prince.
- Find the Clay Wall: After that, go down the left path and fight the First Rat Prince in the cave.
- Break the Wall: In the arena where you fight the First Rat Prince, there is a clay wall on the left side. Break it by:
- Getting the First Rat Prince to attack it.
- Using the Wandering Wight Spirit’s attack.
- Using the Azure Dust slam attack (obtained from the Man-In-Stone questline).
The easiest way is to use the Wandering Wight's Spirit form to headbutt the wall. After breaking it, you can enter the secret room and find a chest with the Loong Scale. This item helps unlock secret areas, including the Red Loong boss area in Chapter 1.
Types of Boss
In Black Myth: Wukong, there are two main types of bosses: Yaoguai Chiefs and Yaoguai Kings. Yaoguai Chiefs are like minibosses and are found throughout a region. Yaoguai Kings are the main bosses usually found at the end of an area or region. However, some Yaoguai Chiefs are hidden and can only be fought after completing special quests or using key items.
These hidden Chiefs can be stronger than some Yaoguai Kings. Each Chapter also has secret Yaoguai King boss fights, which can be unlocked by solving puzzles or finding hidden areas. Additionally, there are friendly characters who may fight you but are not listed in your Journal and are not defeated permanently.
Black Myth Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong is an action role-playing game released on August 20, 2024, by Game Science. The game is inspired by the classic Chinese story Journey to the West and features a monkey character based on Sun Wukong from the novel. It is available for PlayStation 5 and Windows and has received mostly positive reviews.
