Citizen TV Live Streaming Kenya Now

Citizen TV, a popular TV channel in Kenya, is currently broadcasting live updates on the Cabinet Nominees Vetting. You can also watch this live stream on their Twitter account.

Today, the vetting process for Cabinet Secretary nominees has begun at Parliament. Kithure Kindiki, who is nominated for the position of Interior Cabinet Secretary, was the first to be interviewed by the committee. He arrived at the Mini Chamber at County Hall in Parliament Buildings just before 8 am.

Although the vetting was supposed to start at 8 am, it was delayed and actually began after 8:30 am.

Kithure Kindiki's Vetting is Now Streaming Live

During his vetting, Kithure Kindiki explained why he believes he deserves reappointment as Interior Cabinet Secretary. He pointed out that in the past 21 months, he has helped maintain stability in the country, reducing terror incidents and banditry significantly. He has visited all 47 counties multiple times, working to keep the country safer.

Kindiki also discussed his achievements in police reforms, including a major modernization program that has already received Sh7 billion in funding for new equipment. He acknowledged the recent confrontations between police and the public, promising to address these issues by better managing protests and ensuring public order. On the Shakahola tragedy, he stated that it was a major security failure and emphasized the need for accountability for those responsible.

Citizen TV is a Kenyan TV channel that offers news and entertainment. It was started in 1999 and relaunched in 2006. The channel broadcasts in both English and Swahili and features a variety of local and international shows, including soap operas and news.
