However, a user responded that he could not open the game.

To which Clash of Clans replied, " And we're now under maintenance! It should last approximately 1h30min, so please with us."

So, the game was under maintenance for some time, so players could not open the game.

Again Clash of Clans tweeted, "Maintenance is taking a bit longer than expected. ETA: ~20 minutes! Thank you for your patience!"

Now, the Clash of Clans server status is up. The server was down on September 9 as the official tweet read, "We are experiencing slightly more complicated issues with the servers right now and are working on resolving them as soon as possible. We will make sure to give you an update when we are back online."

After some time, the update on Twitter page said, "We're still working on the issue, but unfortunately, we don't have an ETA to share yet. The team is working hard on this, and we'll share an update as soon as we know more."
