The game starts with a cutscene that explains your character’s backstory before putting you in a randomly generated network of caverns. All players begin in the same Core chamber, which has the same starting enemies and resources. There are also three devices in this area representing bosses you can find and defeat. The starting area is dark but can be lit up with torches or a lantern. Torches are made from wood, the first resource you find.
