Dark and Darker is a first-person game that mixes dungeon crawling and role-playing in a dark medieval world. It’s inspired by games like Dungeons & Dragons, roguelikes, and multiplayer games like DayZ. It belongs to a group of games called "extraction" battle royales.
Players can choose from eight character types: fighter, barbarian, rogue, ranger, wizard, cleric, bard, and warlock. The game involves fighting monsters to get valuable items while also watching out for attacks from other players. As the game goes on, the play area gets smaller, making players face each other.
If you survive, you can keep your loot for future games. If you die, you lose everything you have. Surviving lets you store your loot for later use or sale. Players can also trade items with each other using in-game money or other valuable items.
