Deceitful Love Ending Explained
At the end of Deceitful Love, Gabriella chooses to stay with Elia despite all the lies and challenges. After a dramatic court case where Elia admits he initially pursued Gabriella for her money but later fell in love with her, Gabriella meets him at the pier. She turns down his proposal for marriage, stating she wants to live freely without labels, but still be together. Elia agrees, as he truly cares for her.
Gabriella also makes a shocking revelation in court—she had a daughter named Chiara at 17, but had to give her up. This revelation causes tension with her own children, especially her daughter Giulia, who doesn’t attend Gabriella's birthday celebration at the end of the show.
The series ends with a bittersweet moment as Gabriella and Elia are seen celebrating her birthday with family and friends, except for Giulia. Despite all the obstacles, Gabriella chooses to live her life with Elia on her own terms.
Deceitful Love
Deceitful Love is a 2024 Italian romantic drama miniseries directed by Pappi Corsicato. It is based on the British miniseries Gold Digger and was released on Netflix on 9 October 2024. The story was filmed in beautiful locations like Positano and Miseno, near Naples, with filming starting in March 2023. A teaser trailer came out on 25 July 2024, and the official trailer followed on 17 September 2024.
Deceitful Love Plot
Deceitful Love centers on Gabriella, a 60-year-old owner of a luxury hotel on the Amalfi Coast. She meets Elia, a much younger man the same age as her eldest son. Elia is charming but mysterious, and despite their age gap, Gabriella finds herself falling for him. Their relationship makes Gabriella feel alive again, but it also causes tension with her grown children and risks their inheritance. As Gabriella gets deeply involved with Elia, she begins to ignore the lies and red flags, leading to an emotional and dramatic finale.
