Infernal Hordes is a new game mode where you fight huge waves of enemies. Players have wanted this kind of mode for a long time, and Blizzard finally added it. You can earn a lot of loot from this mode, making it faster to get great gear. Unique items have also been improved, so they are now worth grinding for.

Requirements:

You can only access Infernal Hordes once you reach World Tier III and finish the Locran questline. After reaching the Nightmare World Tier, help Locran at Rakhat Keep to complete the last quest called "To the Edge of the Abyss."

Getting Started:

Enter the Hellgate with Locran and fight through waves of enemies until you defeat the Fell Council. After that, you’ll get an Infernal Hordes Compass, which lets you start this activity. Compasses cost 125 Sigil Powder, compared to 75 for Nightmare Dungeon Sigils.

Where to Find Them:

You can get more Compasses by crafting them at the Occultist, finding them in Whisper Caches (after collecting 10 Grim Favors), opening Helltide chests with Aberrant Cinders, completing Nightmare Dungeons, or grinding in the Artificer's Pit. You can also use Abyssal Scrolls to upgrade Compasses to higher tiers.
