Plot
Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov, an aristocrat, comes back to Russia from Paris, but things don't go as planned. Because of the October Revolution, he gets stuck in a fancy hotel room for many years. The Bolshevik tribunal decides he has to stay there, like being grounded by the government.
It's like house arrest. Even though he's in a nice hotel, it's not like a vacation because he can't leave. He spends lots of time there, meeting different people and going through all kinds of adventures. It's a bit like a big, long sleepover, but not as fun because he can't leave.
