Moving up to the A-Tier, we encounter Argent Skull and Witch's Staff, both of which are excellent alternatives but may lack some damage or utility when compared to top-tier weapons. Finally, in the S-Tier, Sister Blades are regarded as the best weaponry for securing victory in the game. Keep in mind that this tier list is subjective and may change with future updates, so you should experiment to see what works best for your needs.

While there are five weapons to pick from in the game, each with its playstyle, some are considered more universally accessible and ideal, while others are more situational and may necessitate certain methods to be effective. Overall, with the correct combination of weapons, boons, and playstyle, every weapon can be an acceptable alternative, while some may be easier to use and more versatile than others.

Sister Blades:

The Sister Blades in "Hades 2" are simple to use and provide fast-paced combat with fluid, crisp attacks. They unlock quickly after the Witch's Staff, making them ideal for early runs. They combine nicely with attack Boons from gods such as Poseidon, Aphrodite, Hestia, and Hephaestus, delivering a lot of damage and clearing lesser adversaries in a single swipe. Despite good Flourish Boons, their ranged Special attack isn't as effective as the Witch's Staff. Overall, the Sister Blades find an appropriate balance among the various weapons.

Moonstone Axe:

The Moonstone Axe in "Hades 2" can be obtained fast for 15 Silver and has a varied attack pattern that includes sweeping hits and spins that cause significant damage. Its Omega strikes and special moves pack a punch, making it a formidable weapon after you adjust to its sluggish speed. While slower than other weapons, it compensates with a great damage potential, particularly when combined with the appropriate Boons and upgrades. However, its slower attack speed might be a disadvantage in fast-paced battles, thus players must plan their strikes carefully when utilizing the Moonstone Axe.

Argent Skull:

The Argent Skull is a powerful throwable weapon in "Hades 2" that causes a lot of damage. Its basic attack summons up to three spectral skulls, each of which deals 50 damage and can be retrieved for recasting. Unlocking the Argent Skull requires 2 Glassrock and 1 Bronze, which are often obtained in the third main region. Hermes Boons can help you increase your sprint and dodge speed. Managing the skulls can be difficult, but mastering its special strikes makes the Argent Skull a deadly opponent, especially with upgrades such as the Madea Weapon Aspect. It's a risk-versus-reward weapon because of its ammunition-based rules, which require players to gather skulls before reloading. Overall, its damage potential and adaptability make it a worthwhile choice in combat.

Umbral Flames:

The Umbral Flames in "Hades 2" are a ranged weapon that has the best range during battles, although they sacrifice damage to do so. They require three Silver and three Cinder to unlock, which can be gained by continually battling Hecate in Erebus. While their Aspects provide advantages such as raising Omega Special uptime and attack until sprinting, they are often outperformed by the Argent Skull once unlocked. Their Omega Attack is potent, but getting around foes to land hits can be challenging in fast-paced combat. Overall, the Umbral Flames are adequate for ranged combat but may require some talent to handle efficiently, and they do not deliver as much damage as other weapons.

Witch's Staff:

The Witch's Staff in "Hades 2" is Melinoe's starting weapon and remains a solid choice throughout the game. It has impressive visual effects during attacks and provides a balanced combination of ranged and melee abilities. Its strikes are more regulated and manageable than other weapons, making it an excellent choice for both new and veteran players. The Witch's Staff has a wide range and high damage output, as well as several Aspects that improve its effectiveness. The Omega Attack causes 120 damage to all adversaries in a line, while the Special Attack deals 10 damage to a single foe or 80 damage in a line when combined with the Omega Special. Thus, the Witch's Staff is adaptable, quick, and efficient.
