How to Unlock All Weapons in Hades 2?
In Hades 2, you can start working on unlocking new weapons shortly after your first run through the underworld. Once you finish that run, look for the Nocturnal Arms menu in the training room, just before the exit. You might not have the right materials to unlock any weapons yet, but you'll be able to see what is available and plan which ones to aim for on your next run.
Here’s a table with a list of weapons and how to unlock them:
Weapon | How to Unlock | Description |
Witch's Staff | Default weapon | A staff that sends out mid-range attacks, has a long-range special, and can be empowered with magick to deal damage in a straight line. |
Sister Blades | 1 Silver | Twin blades with fast attacks, a special that shoots multiple projectiles, and can be empowered with magick to teleport behind enemies. |
Umbral Flames | 3 Silver, 3 Cinder | Two torches with seeking projectile attacks, a special that creates a shield of orbiting projectiles, and can be empowered with magick. |
Moonstone Axe | 15 Silver | A huge axe with slow attacks, a special that blocks and retaliates, and can be empowered with magick to spin around you. |
Argent Skull | After unlocking the second region: 2 Glassrock, 1 Bronze | A skull with explosive ammunition, a special dash forward, and the ability to empower magick for area-of-effect attacks. |
With this information, you can start planning which weapons to unlock as you progress through Hades 2.
Hades 2 Weapons
In Hades 2, there are five weapons with different abilities and attack ranges to match any style of play. The first weapon, the Witch’s Staff, is available right away, while the Argent Skull is the hardest to unlock as it requires resources only found in the later areas of the Underworld. Below is a table listing all the weapons and the resources needed to unlock them:
Weapon | Resource Requirements | Description |
Witch’s Staff | Default | Medium-range weapon with a long-range attack, suitable for keeping a distance from certain enemies. |
Sister Blades | One Silver | Close-range dual weapon with strong attacks, but dodging some attacks can be tricky. |
Moonstone Axe | 15 Silver | Slow but powerful close-to-mid-range weapon, dealing significant damage. |
Umbral Flames | Three Silver, Three Cinder | Two fireball-wielding staves for long-range attacks, though they can be hard to control. |
Argent Skull | Two Glassrock, One Bronze | Mid to long-range skull weapon with limited ammo that needs to be picked up manually after being thrown. |
With this information, you can choose the weapon that best fits your playstyle in Hades 2.
Unlocking Weapon Aspects: A Guide
In the beginning, your weapons will be pretty basic, having only one style. But as you progress, you'll gain the incantation needed to unlock Weapon Aspects. These are different "versions" of your weapons that change certain aspects, making them better suited to your preferred way of playing.
To unlock this incantation, you need to defeat Hecate in Erebus. Afterward, she'll likely give you the recipe. Once unlocked, you can cast it at any cauldron with five Bronze and one Nightshade. This will grant you access to Aspects, which you can find at the weapon circle in the Training Grounds.
Here's a table showing every Aspect, along with its upgrades and resource requirements:
Aspect | Unlock | Description |
Witch's Staff | Melinoe | Default form. Upgrades speed up your Omega Moves. |
Circe | Melinoe gains Serenity after 21 Attacks or Specials, granting a speed bonus and restoring Magick.
Momus | With less than 50% life, Melinoe can absorb her Omega Special to restore health.
Sister Blade | Melinoe | Default form. Allows for Backstab. |
Artemis | While channeling, Melineo can Parry and Riposte.
Pan | Specials seek foes within Casts and fire more blades after Channeling.
Umbral Flames | Melinoe | Default form. Upgrades enhance your Omega Special. |
Moros | Attacks linger for 6 seconds and explode if hit by Specials.
Eos | Attacks grow larger and return when sprinting.
Moonstone Axe | Melinoe | Default form. Improves recovery speed after attacking. |
Charon | Cast duration is increased and erupts if hit by your Omega Special.
Thanatos | Hitting with Omega Moves increases critical hit rate.
Argent Skull | Melinoe | Default form. Enhances shell power when shells are already spent. |
Medea | Attacks explode in a larger area upon impact and deal improved damage.
Persephone | Damage dealt generates Glory, enhancing your Omega Special. |
These Aspects can make a big difference in how you play Hades 2, so choose wisely!
