Helldivers 2 Gameplay

In Helldivers 2, you play as a character in a third-person view instead of looking down from above like in the first game. You still use special tools called 'stratagems' like bombs and shields. But in Helldivers 2, you can't play on the same screen with friends like before. Instead, you can team up with up to four people online. You can also play with friends on PlayStation 5 or Windows computers.

The game has something called a battle pass that does not go away. As you play, you earn different kinds of in-game money. You get some for finishing missions and goals, and you can find or buy more during missions. As you play more and get better, you unlock new weapons and tools to use. Completing missions also helps your team take over or defend planets, and you can see how well you are doing on the Galactic Map.

Helldivers Plot

In Helldivers 2, the story takes place a hundred years after "Super Earth" won against the Cyborgs, Bugs, and Illuminate in the first game. A valuable resource called E-710 is found when the Terminids, one of the defeated enemies, die. People start farming it on planets, but then the bugs break free, causing chaos.

At the same time, mechanical enemies called the Automatons show up, wanting to wipe out humanity. The game starts with a video recruiting elite soldiers called Helldivers, who drop from space to fight back and take back the lands humans colonized. As you play, you can find messages and notes that tell more about what's going on in the world.
