How Does Aemond Targaryen Die in House of the Dragon? [ Spoiler Alert!]
Aemond Targaryen is still living, but he meets his end in a big fight against Daemon Targaryen in "House of the Dragon". As anger grows between them, Daemon asks Aemond to a last fight using their big flying lizards. During the big battle over an old castle, Daemon's lizard, Caraxes, grabs Aemond's lizard, Vhagar, by the neck.
Aemond, stuck to his lizard for safety, battles Daemon. In a brave move, Daemon jumps from Caraxes and deadly stabs Aemond through his blue eye with his sword. Both men and their lizards fall into the sea, and while Aemond's body is found, what happens to Daemon after this big fight is not known.
When Does Aemond Die in the House of the Dragon?
It's tough to guess when Aemond will die in "House of the Dragon". HBO has said the show will come back for a third season, and they might want to drag out the story, especially with actors like Smith and Mitchell staying.
They could save Aemond's death for later episodes, maybe even at the end of the whole series. We don't want to give away too much, but things will definitely get intense when Daemon challenges Aemond with the words, "You. Me. Harrenhal."
Who is Aemond Targaryen?
Prince Aemond Targaryen, also called Aemond One-Eye, is a prince in the Targaryen family from the TV series "House of the Dragon". He is the second son of King Viserys I Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower. Aemond rides the dragon named Vhagar. He is part of the faction known as the Greens.
Aemond is portrayed by Ewan Mitchell and Leo Ashton as a child. He was born around 115–116 AC, making him about 16–17 years old in the show's timeline. Aemond is a Valyrian by culture and follows the Faith of the Seven. He first appeared in the series in the episode titled "The Princess and the Queen".
