How to Beat Romina Saint of the Bud in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

To defeat Romina, Saint of the Bud in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, you'll need a strategic approach. Start by preparing with a purifying spell like Flame Cleanse Me to counter Scarlet Rot, which Romina inflicts. This spell will help mitigate the damage over time during the fight.

During the battle, focus on attacking Romina from her sides. This strategy allows you to anticipate and dodge her spear and insect body attacks more effectively. Romina has various attacks, including tail strikes and spear slashes. Watch for her tail to rear up before crashing down; roll towards her to evade this attack and seize a chance to counterattack.

Be mindful of Romina's spear attacks. She alternates between quick neutral slashes and more powerful rot-powered slashes. Dodge these attacks and capitalize on openings when she returns to her default stance. Maintain close proximity to Romina's side to minimize the risk of getting hit by her more dangerous moves.

As the battle progresses and Romina's health diminishes, she introduces new attacks. These include releasing butterflies that deal damage and inflict Scarlet Rot. When Romina envelops herself in a pink glow, which indicates the butterfly attack, quickly move away to avoid the explosions that follow.

Romina also unleashes super-powered slash attacks later in the battle. These are telegraphed with charging motions and can be avoided with well-timed dodge rolls. Stay vigilant as she tends to follow up these powerful attacks with additional aggressive moves, such as jumping slashes.

Drop down into the spirit spring and proceed towards the wall ahead. Turn left to enter a long, lush hallway that eventually leads back outdoors. You'll know you're on track when you encounter bug enemies outside.

Follow the path eastwards, where you'll spot a Miquella Cross in the distance. Head towards it, collect the Scadutree Fragment, and activate the nearby Rauh Ancient Ruins, East site of grace to mark your progress. Nearby, a long bridge leads to another platform southwest. Cross the bridge carefully, watching out for attacks from the Furnace Golem guarding the other side.

Upon crossing, continue past the golem towards the waterfalls and then turn left, crossing over a small ridge to reach the Rauh Ancient Ruins, West site of grace. Adjacent to this site, enter a ruin where you'll ascend stairs and collect the Scadutree Fragment on the second floor. Exit through the door behind the fragment to return outside.
