How to Defeat Duskveil in Black Myth: Wukong?

To defeat the Duskveil in Black Myth: Wukong, follow these tips:

Level Up

Aim for Level 80 or higher, but Level 60 should be sufficient. Max out your health using Mind Cores for better survival.

Prepare Weapons and Spells

Complete the Yellow Loong quest for the Golden Loong Staff. Use the Rock Solid and Immobilize Spells. Save Mana and Transformation Spells for the second phase, with Red Tides being particularly useful.

Fight Strategy

  • First Phase: This phase has short-ranged and some ranged attacks. It’s easier, so focus on dodging and dealing damage. The Duskveil has 2/3 of its health here.
  • Second Phase: This phase is much tougher with melee attacks, aerial projectiles, and large area attacks. Stay underneath the boss to avoid most attacks. Watch out for a ground slam combo and a massive AOE slam.

Avoid Damage

Run away when the boss slams the ground with its sword to charge its AOE attack, which deals heavy damage and can stagger you.

Optional Help

If you're struggling, you can skip the Scorpionlord boss fight to have the Scorpionlord assist you against the Duskveil. Note that the Scorpionlord will only help during the first phase and will die when the second phase begins.

Take your time and don't rush the fight to increase your chances of victory.

  • Defeat the Venom Daoist: You first need to defeat him at the Pool of Shattered Jade, located near the Pool of Shattered Jade Keeper’s Shrine.
  • Find him again: After defeating him there, you'll face him a second time at the Temple of Yellow Flowers, near the Court of Illumination Keeper’s Shrine.

Once you’ve defeated him at the Temple of Yellow Flowers, you’ll get access to the portal leading to Purple Cloud Mountain. This area has three bosses, including the Duskveil. It’s a good idea to save the Duskveil fight for last to ensure you don’t miss the other quests and boss battles in the secret area.
