How to get Facet of Command in Destiny 2?

To obtain the Facet of Command in Destiny 2, follow these steps. Firstly, you need to reach an area called the Impasse in the Pale Heart during the campaign or as part of a patrol mission. It's advisable to complete the story first and then visit the Impasse later. Once you're in the Impasse, start from the landing zone where you spawn and turn around. You'll notice a road leading to a massive Cosmodrome wall. Follow this road, and you'll come across a small door that allows you to enter a corridor.

Proceed down the corridor until you reach a locked Region chest. Past this chest, you'll find a pile of ice. Remember the location of this ice pile as you'll need to return here later. Continue along the corridor, following the only available route until you come across a landing craft hanging from the roof. Take a left into the next room where you'll encounter enemies and a Shrieker. Near the Shrieker, you'll find a Prismatic chest containing the Facet of Command.

Defeat all enemies in the room, including the Shrieker, and then focus on opening the Prismatic chest. To open it, you'll need a Divided Prismatic Key. Look for broken windows along one of the walls in the room. Some of these windows are large enough for a Guardian to pass through. Jump inside through one of these windows to access a small secret room with three machines.

One of the machines creates a Scorch Cannon, so summon one using this machine. The other two machines are frozen and can accept charged orbs. Shoot the frozen machines with the Scorch Cannon to charge them with Void, Solar, and Arc elements. You'll find charged orbs outside the room. Retrieve these orbs and place them strategically into the machines.

Each machine must have a specific number of slots filled with Void, Solar, and Arc elements. After setting up the charges, enemies will spawn in the room. Defeat these enemies to obtain the Divided Prismatic Key. Once you have the key, use it to open the Prismatic chest and claim the Facet of Command.

Function of the Facet of Command

The Facet of Command in Destiny 2 serves several key functions. One of its primary features is that when you Freeze or Suppress a target, it automatically reloads your equipped weapon. Additionally, it enhances the stability, aim assist, and overall effectiveness of your weapon, especially when you're airborne. This makes it a valuable asset during combat situations, allowing for smoother and more accurate weapon handling.

Generating Resources

Another important function of the Facet of Command is its ability to generate valuable resources upon defeating a frozen or suppressed target. These resources come in the form of Stasis Shards and Void Breaches. Stasis Shards are small pieces of Stasis matter that, when collected, restore your melee energy, providing you with additional combat capabilities.

On the other hand, Void Breaches are dimensional ruptures filled with Void energy. Picking up a Void Breach grants you class ability energy, enabling you to use your class abilities more frequently.

Suppression and Freezing Effects

The Facet of Command also introduces suppression and freezing effects to your combat arsenal. When you Suppress a target, it is temporarily disabled from using any active abilities or movement modes. This can be particularly useful for controlling enemy movements and preventing them from executing dangerous abilities. Additionally, Suppressed combatants are unable to fire their weapons, and Overload Champions are stunned when suppressed.

Freezing a target, on the other hand, traps it in Stasis matter, rendering it immobile. If the frozen target takes additional damage while frozen, it shatters, eliminating the threat. This freezing effect can be strategically employed to immobilize powerful enemies or to create opportunities for coordinated attacks with your fireteam.

How to get Fragments in Destiny 2?

Fragments can be found in special chests scattered throughout different areas in Destiny 2, especially after completing the main campaign. Look for Prismatic chests in each area post-campaign. These chests contain Prismatic Fragments and are often marked by unique symbols or designs.

To open Prismatic chests, you'll need keys that are usually earned by completing specific tasks or solving puzzles within the same area as the chest. Some chests may require you to solve puzzles, interact with objects, or defeat waves of enemies to obtain the key needed to unlock them.

Engage in encounters or activities within the area to earn keys. These encounters may vary from defeating powerful enemies to completing objectives. Certain quests like 'Lost in the Light' and 'Found in the Dark' also lead you to Prismatic Fragments and Aspects as rewards, guiding you through the process. Here are all the Prismatic Fragments available in Destiny 2.

The update brings new powers to the characters, making them even more exciting to play. One of the coolest things is the new Prismatic subclass. This lets players mix Light and Darkness powers, giving them new strategies and abilities in battles. Along with these new powers, the update adds lots of new stuff to the game. There are new missions to go on, new places to explore, and new gear and weapons to collect.

Unlike before, where the game released new content every few months, this update is different. It's split into three big parts called episodes. Each episode tells more of the story and adds new things to do in the game. The first episode starts shortly after the update is released, with the others coming later in the year.
