How to Make Ale in Manor Lords?

What is Ale in Manor Lords?

In Manor Lords, ale is a valuable commodity required to upgrade Burgage Plots to level 3. To produce ale, you need malt as a raw material. It's crucial to maintain a steady supply of ale in your Tavern to facilitate the upgrading process for your Burgage Plots.

How to Get Ale in Manor Lords?

To get ale for your Manor Lords tavern, you have two options,

  • Importing it through a Trading Post
  • Producing it with a Malthouse.

If you want to import ale, go to the Trading Post and select the "commodities" tab.

Since this is a significant trade, you'll need to pay 48 Regional Wealth to set up the trade route. Then, switch the status to "import" and enter how much ale you want.

Keep in mind that the default import price is 18 Regional Wealth, which is quite expensive. It's often better to make some of your ale, but if you prefer importing, try unlocking the Trade Logistics and Better Deals upgrades.

These will reduce the trade route cost to 25 Regional Wealth instead of 48 and lower the import price of ale to 8 Regional Wealth.

  • Finally, complete the process by building a Tavern, which is necessary for distributing the Ale and upgrading your Burgage Plots beyond level 2.

To produce Ale in Manor Lords, you must follow the steps, starting with the establishment of a farm and farmhouse on fertile land suitable for growing Barley. Barley serves as the primary ingredient in Ale production.

Once your farm is set up, plant Barley in the field and ensure that families are assigned to work in the farmhouse to expedite the harvesting process. After harvesting the Barley, the next crucial step is to construct a Malthouse nearby.

The Malthouse converts the harvested Barley into Malt, which is an essential ingredient for brewing Ale. Once you have your Malt ready, it's time to build a Brewery extension on a level 2 Burgage Plot. This Brewery extension is where the actual Ale production takes place.

Ensure that your Burgage Plot is at least at level 2 and has enough space to accommodate the Brewery extension. With the Brewery in place, you can start brewing Ale from the Malt produced in the Malthouse. To complete the Ale production process, you need to build a Tavern.

The Tavern is crucial for distributing the freshly brewed Ale and is also necessary for upgrading your Burgage Plots beyond level 2. Building a Tavern not only fulfills the distribution requirement but also plays a vital role in the advancement and expansion of your Ale production operations in Manor Lords.
