How To Use Sawpit in Manor Lords? Why Sawpits Appear Bugged?

How To Use Sawpit in Manor Lords?

To get the Sawpit to work in Manor Lords, you need to have at least one family unassigned. This means you should leave one family without a specific job so they can transport timber to the Sawpit. You can find out how many families are unassigned by looking in the top left corner of your screen. If there are none, the Sawpit won't get the wood it needs to work.

Another reason why the Sawpit might not work is if your ox is busy with other tasks. In Manor Lords, oxen are used to move heavy resources around your settlement. If your Ox is doing something else, it can't bring timber to the Sawpit. To fix this, make sure your current Ox doesn't have other tasks or get another Ox to help out. This way, the Sawpit will always have the timber it needs to keep running.

Procedure To make a Sawpit

To build a Sawpit in Manor Lords, follow these steps:

1. Start a game in Manor Lords and work on building your village.

2. Open the Construction menu by pressing the "R" key if you're on a PC.

3. In the Construction menu, go to the "Gathering" tab.

4. Click on "Sawpit" to build it, then pick a spot in your village where you want it to be.

5. Remember, you need two Timber to build the Sawpit, so make sure you have enough before you start building.

How To Build A Sawpit?

The Sawpit is the third structure under the 'Gathering' section in the 'Construction' menu. To build the Sawpit, all you need to do is click its icon and place it in your village. Choose a spot where you want it, and that's where it will be built. To build the Sawpit, you need two pieces of timber.

You can get timber by setting up a logging camp or by importing it through trade posts. But trading can be costly early in the game, so it's better to skip trading and focus on logging. If you build a logging camp and assign a worker, you'll have a steady supply of timber for your village and for building the Sawpit.

How To Obtain Planks From a Sawpit?

The Sawpit in Manor Lords takes one piece of timber and turns it into five planks. However, the Sawpit can only keep one timber in its storage at a time. To make this process faster, build a storehouse, which can hold a lot of resources. With a storehouse, you can keep more timber ready for the Sawpit to use.

Another important thing is to check that there's at least one worker assigned to your Sawpit. If no one is working there, the Sawpit won't do anything, and the game doesn't always tell you when this happens. So, it's a good idea to regularly check your Sawpit and other buildings to make sure workers are assigned. By doing this, you can make sure that the Sawpit is always making planks without any delays.

Why Sawpits Appear Bugged?

Sometimes, players find that even when they have enough resources and workers assigned to the sawpit, it doesn't make any planks. This usually happens when there's only one ox for the whole settlement, and it's busy carrying wooden logs for other tasks.

Since the game gives more importance to building projects than to production, if there's a construction project going on, the ox will be focused on that, not on getting logs to the Sawpit. If players want to prioritize plank production over construction, they can pause any ongoing building projects. Once all construction is paused or completed, the ox can then focus on taking logs to the Sawpit, allowing it to start making planks again.
