Is Bodkin a True Story?
No, Bodkin is not a true story. Even though it's about podcasters who talk about real crimes, everything in the show is made up. It's a funny way of showing how some podcasters make real stories seem exaggerated or not true. So, people should think of Bodkin as just a made-up story, not something that really happened.
Bodkin Ending Explained
In the end of Bodkin, Dove brings evidence to Sergeant Power about the car found in the bog. Seamus wants closure, so he asks to see the bodies found there. He realizes that one body was his brother, but the other wasn't Fiona. It's revealed that Seamus and Malachy had a past with the McArdle brothers and wanted to take over their business.
The "Troubles" ended in 1998, but Sebastian worries about the McCardle brothers coming after him. Seamus kills one of the brothers, putting his family in danger. It's also revealed that Sergeant Power's son, Teddy, had feelings for Fiona and accidentally killed Malachy and another woman named Greta, clearing Seamus of involvement in his brother's death.
