Is FiveM Coming to Console?
There have been rumors and reports suggesting that FiveM, the popular modification for GTA V that allows for custom servers and gameplay, might be coming to consoles. Originally, Rockstar planned to bring FiveM to consoles in 2021 but later decided to cancel those plans in 2022. However, it seems that the project has been restarted, and a significant number of developers are now working on it.
According to some reports, there are plans to release FiveM on consoles later this year but this information hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar yet, so it's not official. But if these reports are accurate, it could be a major change for the GTA community, especially with the upcoming GTA VI.
FiveM
FiveM is a modification for Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) that lets players create and join custom multiplayer servers, offering unique and varied gameplay experiences beyond what is available in the base game. In April 2021, FiveM reached a peak of 250,000 players on Steam, even surpassing the player count of GTA V itself. It gained further popularity in February 2021 when GTA V became the most-watched game on Twitch, largely due to updates to NoPixel, one of FiveM's biggest and most expensive servers.
On August 11, 2023, Rockstar Games, the company behind GTA V, announced that it had acquired Cfx.re, the developers of FiveM. Rockstar said they would work with Cfx.re to support the FiveM community better and enhance the services available to players and developers.

About Grand Theft Auto
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) is an action-adventure video game series created by David Jones and Mike Dailly, and later developed by Dan and Sam Houser, Leslie Benzies, and Aaron Garbut. The games are made by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. The series is named after a term for car theft in the U.S.
GTA games feature open-world environments where players can complete missions and explore various activities. Gameplay often includes driving, shooting, and elements of role-playing and stealth. The games are set in fictional cities inspired by real ones, like Liberty City (New York), San Andreas (San Francisco), and Vice City (Miami). Each game follows a different protagonist rising through the criminal world, often dealing with themes of betrayal.
The series began in 1997 and has released seven main titles and four expansion packs. The 2001 game Grand Theft Auto III was groundbreaking for introducing a 3D environment, influencing many other open-world games. GTA is known for its critical acclaim, having sold over 425 million units and being featured in British design lists and as a successful export.
