Is Nayuta Dead in Chainsaw Man?

In Chainsaw Man Chapter 170, it looks like Nayuta might have died, but there's a hint she could still be alive. If you look closely, Nayuta usually has a mole under her left eye, but it’s missing in this chapter. This might mean the severed head isn't really hers and could be a fake created by a devil.

Additionally, Nayuta's cheek has a vein-like growth in the new chapter, which could be another sign that the Control Devil is still alive. However, there's no certainty because the missing mole could simply be a mistake by the manga creator, Tatsuki Fujimoto, who has forgotten to draw important details before.

Who is Nayuta in Chainsaw Man?

Nayuta, also known as the Control Devil's reincarnation, plays a significant role in the "Chainsaw Man" manga. Initially introduced with dark brown hair and distinct yellow eyes, she bears a mole under her left eye and a solitary bang across her face. Raised by Denji under Kishibe's guidance to prevent her from following the path of her predecessor, Makima, Nayuta matures visibly during the Academy Saga. Her hair grows longer and is styled in a braid, reminiscent of Makima's appearance.

Throughout the series, Nayuta's character evolves, showing moments of vulnerability and growth as she navigates her identity and relationship with Denji, whom she regards as an older brother figure. Her connection to the Control Devil imbues her with unique abilities and significance in the narrative, contributing to the complex and dark themes explored in "Chainsaw Man."

How Old is Nayuta?

Nayuta, the reincarnation of the Control Devil Makima, was born in 1997. In the manga's present timeline, she is between 8 to 10 years old. Found by Kishibe at birth, Nayuta was adopted by Denji as his younger sister. Despite being Makima's reincarnation, she lacks Makima's memories but inherits most of her abilities, playing a crucial role as one of the Four Horsemen in the series.
