Is Stephen Colbert New Tonight?
No, There will be no new episodes of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert airing tonight. This week, CBS is showing reruns of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert every night. That means Stephen Colbert won't be hosting any new episodes from Monday, April 22, to Friday, April 26. But if you usually watch The Late Show at 11:35 pm ET/PT, you can still catch it at the same time, it's just going to be older episodes instead of new ones.

One of his notable roles was playing a closeted gay history teacher on that show.
He became well-known as a correspondent on The Daily Show before hosting his own show, The Colbert Report, in 2005. Like The Daily Show, The Colbert Report was a parody of political talk shows, and Colbert played a funny version of conservative pundits. His performance at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in 2006 made his show even more popular. After ending The Colbert Report, he took over as host of The Late Show on CBS. Stephen Colbert Early Life
Stephen Colbert was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in a big Catholic family in Maryland and South Carolina. His dad was a doctor, and his mom stayed home to take care of the kids. Colbert's parents taught him to think for himself and be curious about the world. Even though they were Catholic, they were open-minded and liked to read and think about different ideas. Colbert was a lively kid who noticed stereotypes on TV and learned to imitate news anchors to avoid being seen as less smart because of where he was from.
After a tragic plane crash took his dad and brothers when he was young, Colbert's family moved, and he struggled to make friends. He found solace in reading books, especially fantasy novels like J.R.R. Tolkien's, and playing Dungeons & Dragons, which he saw as acting practice.
Stephen Colbert went to Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, where he acted in plays and wrote for the school newspaper. He wasn't very interested in his studies but enjoyed being involved in school activities. When he was younger, he wanted to study marine biology but couldn't because of ear damage from surgery. He eventually went to Hampden-Sydney College to study philosophy and later transferred to Northwestern University to focus on acting. He graduated from Northwestern in 1986.
