Love Island Format

Love Island is a TV show where a bunch of contestants, called "Islanders," live in a villa in Fiji. They're cut off from the world and watched all the time on camera. To stay in the villa, Islanders need to be in a couple with someone else there. They first pick their partners based on first impressions, but later they can choose to stay with them or switch at special ceremonies called "re-couplings." In the villa, couples share beds and can talk to everyone else, getting to know each other.

Each Islander has their own phone to text other Islanders and get messages about challenges, dumpings (when someone leaves), and re-couplings. Even though it seems like they can talk to anyone, Islanders have rules like limited drinking and can't contact the outside world much.

There are lots of games and challenges for the Islanders to show off their skills, and winners might get cool prizes like a night at a special place called the Hideaway or a fancy date.

Islanders can leave the show for different reasons, like not finding a new partner after re-coupling or getting voted out by the public through an app. In the last week, the audience votes to pick the winning couple. On the finale night, the winning couple gets two envelopes, one with $100,000 and the other empty. The Islander with the money can choose whether to share it with their partner, testing how much they trust each other.
