Metaphor Refantazio Gameplay
ReFantazio unfolds in the Kingdom of Euchronia, a medieval fantasy world that reflects aspects of the modern real world. After the assassination of King Hythlodaeus V by General Louis Guiabern, turmoil erupts across the kingdom. On the day of the king's funeral, a unique form of magic, once known only to the late king, reawakens. His spirit appears before the people, announcing a tournament to determine the next ruler.
The story follows Will, a boy from the Elda tribe who has been shunned by society for inheriting forbidden magic. This "tainted" magic has subjected him to discrimination. Will embarks on a journey to break the curse that haunts his childhood friend, the Prince of Euchronia, who was presumed assassinated long ago. Along the way, Will is guided by his fairy companion, Gallica, who offers him wisdom and aids in sensing magic. They face opposition not only from Louis and his followers but also from nearly indestructible creatures called "humans," who ravage the land.
