Izuku is chosen by All Might to inherit his quirk, "One For All," which bestows upon him extraordinary strength that he can share with others. With the ability to take and reveal Quirks, All For One, his adversary, has severely injured All Might.

At U.A. High School, Izuku begins training alongside Bakugo and other pupils. Among the obstacles they must overcome is a gang of evildoers headed by Tomura Shigaraki, who desires to demolish society. Izuku and his buddies face the villain Stain after a sporting event and a few skirmishes.

In the meantime, the Paranormal Liberation Front is formed when the League of Villains unites with another organization. They unleash anarchy, exposing sinister secrets and freeing evildoers from prison, resulting in global catastrophe.

Izuku leaves America to go in pursuit of All For One alongside the greatest heroes. They learn that Yuga Aoyama, one of their classmates, has been surreptitiously working for the bad guys when he returns, persuaded by his friends. They set a trap with this in order to catch the bad guys. Izuku assists in defeating Shigaraki by giving One For All to him, negating all of his abilities, after Bakugo destroys All For One's original body.
