Nine Sols is a 2D action-platformer game made by Red Candle Games. It's set in a futuristic Asian fantasy world. Combat focuses on deflecting enemy attacks to charge up special moves. You play as Yi, a legendary hero seeking revenge against the nine Sols, powerful rulers of New Kunlun.
The game blends close-range combat with platforming and deflection mechanics. Yi can slash with a sword and deflect attacks to build energy for powerful strikes. He also uses a special bow in combat. Yi can run, dash, jump, climb, and use other movement abilities.
Nine Sols All Bosses Fight Guide
In Nine Sols, you'll encounter tough bosses who test your skills in combat. Beating them needs smart strategies and understanding their moves. You must master different fighting styles to win. There are ten big bosses to defeat in New Kunlun. They were once good warriors but turned evil rulers. Yi, the hero, must stop them to save the world.
Here’s a simple guide to fighting the bosses in "Nine Sols":
Yingzhao
Yingzhao is your first major boss in Nine Sols and serves as a tutorial for combat mechanics. He's a large centaur-like warrior with a powerful spear, using sweeping attacks. While not part of the Nine Sols, defeating Yingzhao is essential to progress.
In the first phase, he demonstrates long swings, swipes, and thrusts. In the second phase, he heals and gains new attacks like charging spear strikes and galloping across the battlefield, challenging you to adapt to changing tactics.
Kanghui
Kanghui is a grotesque creature trapped by a contraption, making it invincible initially. It spawns minion monsters in the first phase. Once it reaches half health, using a computer ends its invincibility, allowing you to defeat it. After regenerating, Kanghui's second phase introduces more monsters and new attacks, making the battle more challenging and overwhelming.
Ji
Phase two introduces a new set of formidable attacks, such as a larger black hole that fires laser projectiles just to throw off your focus. Ji will also summon his staff for more hard-hitting attacks. Ji is best at throwing a plethora of wild card attacks to the mix in his attacks, but they also all leave him open to free hits and talisman strikes.
Jiequan
Jiequan is a strong member of the Nine Sols, obsessed with gaining more power. You can poison him by using the Gene Eradicator in his transmutation chamber, weakening him over time. He attacks with spears, daggers, and swords at various ranges.
In phase one, he heals but gains new attacks in phase two. Despite healing, the poison continues to harm him, creating opportunities for powerful counterattacks.
Yuanlao Piloting The Rending Claw
Yuanlao throws you a curveball in Nine Sols. You take the helm of a giant mechanized claw, the Rending Claw, to pummel him instead of a direct showdown. The fight is a dodging spectacle.
Phase one focuses on swiping the claw and avoiding Yuanlao's lasers and projectiles. In phase two, the pressure ramps up. Attacks become faster, lasers get more complex, and the arena shrinks. Here, new target reticles appear on Yuanlao.
Aim the claw at them to stun him, creating an opportunity to land a powerful counterattack. Mastering dodges and using the claw strategically are crucial for conquering this challenging encounter.
Xingtian
Xingtian, a fearsome warrior in Nine Sols' Celestial Arena, awaits your challenge. This nimble fighter tests your mettle with a massive axe, unleashing powerful swings and devastating slams. Don't underestimate his speed – Xingtian throws in quick dashes and aggressive combos to keep you on your toes. He'll also attempt to grab you, so be mindful of close-quarter attacks.
The key to defeating Xingtian lies in mastering deflections. Time them right to counter his attacks, build your counter meter, and unleash a flurry of your own. Punish him during brief openings after deflected combos or dodged slams. Remember, his charged axe slam unleashes shockwaves – jump or dash to avoid getting pummeled. Stay mobile throughout the fight, using dodges and jumps to prevent him from cornering you. Mastering these tactics will see you conquer this fierce warrior.
Gourmang
Gourmang is a terrifying boss who fights alongside two Jianshi warriors that she controls. Initially, you'll deal with these puppets while she eats eyeballs, only resurrecting them when one is defeated. This is your chance to damage her directly. However, the remaining Jianshi will still be a significant threat throughout the fight.
Fuxi And Nuwa
Big trouble comes in twos in Nine Sols! Fuxi, a giant dude with a giant mace, teams up with his sister Nuwa to take you down. Dodge Fuxi swings and jumps to avoid getting pummeled. Nuwa plays dirty, using her flute to zap you with shockwaves and summon creepy snake buddies.
Beat them by focusing on Fuxi first, dodging his attacks, and hitting him when he's off-guard. Don't forget Nuwa's tricks though! Zap back at her shockwaves and smash those snakes before they get you. Take them down one at a time and you'll win this sibling showdown.
Lady Ethereal
Lady Ethereal is a visually stunning boss in Nine Sols, with three challenging phases. In phase two, she creates duplicates of herself, making it harder to find the real one. Deflecting the real Ethereal staggers her, giving you a chance to attack.
Phase three intensifies with more duplicates and complex attacks, including floor-destroying blasts. Focus on deflecting duplicates and stunning the real Ethereal for the best chance to win. Once you spot the real her, hit her with everything you've got, but be careful! She can teleport and fight dirty. This battle is all about staying sharp and watching closely to beat the real Lady Ethereal.
Eigong
Eigong, the true mastermind behind Nine Sols, awaits you in an epic final showdown. This isn't your typical brawl. Eigong throws everything at you: lightning-fast attacks, elemental magic that scorches the arena, and even summons powerful creatures to fight alongside him.
You'll need to master every skill you've learned throughout your journey – deflecting with precision, unleashing devastating counters, and using well-timed dodges to survive Eigong's relentless assault. This is a battle that tests your mastery of the game. Stay focused, adapt to his ever-changing tactics, and unleash your full potential to bring Eigong down and claim victory in Nine Sols.
