Pearl Jam Cancels Tour Dates Due to Illness
Pearl Jam recently canceled multiple shows on their Dark Matter World Tour across Europe, citing ongoing illness within the band. The cancellations included concerts scheduled for July 2 and 3 in Berlin, following an earlier cancellation in London.
The band expressed deep regret over disappointing fans who had invested time and money in attending these shows. They emphasized that these decisions were made after exhaustive efforts to recover fully, and they acknowledged the significant efforts of those involved in organizing the events.
Pearl Jam assured fans that ticket refunds would be processed and expressed hope to reschedule these shows in the future. Despite the setbacks, the band continues to promote their latest album, "Dark Matter," and had previously described it as their best work, recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. Their next scheduled performances are July 6 and 8 in Barcelona before appearing at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.

Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam is an influential American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1990. The band consists of Jeff Ament (bass), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar), Mike McCready (lead guitar), Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), and Matt Cameron (drums). Keyboardist Boom Gaspar has also been a touring member since 2002. Emerging from the breakup of Green River and Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam gained fame with their debut album "Ten" in 1991, which stayed on the Billboard 200 chart for nearly five years and achieved 13× Platinum status in the US.
Their subsequent albums, like "Vs." and "Vitalogy," continued their success with record-breaking sales. Known for shunning mainstream practices, Pearl Jam has sold over 85 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. They are celebrated for their live performances and activism on social and political issues, reflecting Eddie Vedder's outspoken advocacy.
