To redeem the code, go to the Pokémon GO Web Store instead of using the game itself. You’ll receive two versions of the t-shirt, one for male avatars and one for female avatars, featuring the cute scuba diving Pikachu from this year's Pokémon World Championships.

Pokémon Go Event Details

Niantic has added a special blue t-shirt to the game that you can only get by attending a three-day event and completing a Scavenger Hunt Timed Research. To get the blue t-shirt, you'll need to spin local PokeStops, win four Great League battles, power up Pokemon 24 times, send four gifts with stickers, catch 20 Fairy-type Pokemon, and do a few more tasks. Completing the Scavenger Hunt also gives you a Pikachu with a special background.

If you’re not in Honolulu, you can still get a special Pikachu from the 2024 World Championships. You can catch this Pikachu by completing certain Field Research tasks or by participating in limited-time 1-star raids. This Pikachu can even be shiny, though it’s pretty rare.

The event also features gameplay bonuses like lower trading costs and more Stardust rewards. There's a $5 Timed Research ticket that lets you catch event-themed Pokemon like Azumarill, Vigoroth, and Cresselia. The number of GO Battle League sets you can play each day has increased from five to 20. The Honolulu event ends on August 18, but the related Pokemon GO event continues for two more days.
