"The Regime" is a new TV show from HBO. Synopsis
"The Regime" shows a year in the palace of a failing authoritarian government. Chancellor Elena Vernham, who hasn't been outside the palace for a long time, becomes more paranoid and unstable. She finds comfort in a volatile soldier, Herbert Zubak, an unexpected friend. As Zubak's influence over the chancellor grows, Elena's attempts to gain more power cause the palace and the country to break apart around her.
