V Rising

V Rising is an action role-playing survival game launched in 2024 by Stunlock Studios and published by Level Infinite. In V Rising, players take on the role of a recently awakened vampire in an open world divided into five biomes. Players collect materials, craft and upgrade their gear, and build castles to serve as their bases. Progressing in the game involves defeating bosses to unlock better resources and equipment.

The game has a day-night cycle, with sunlight causing damage to players unless they stay in the shade or indoors. Garlic exposure also harms players by increasing damage taken and reducing damage dealt. Players claim land by placing a Castle Heart, which needs to be maintained with Blood Essence to prevent decay and vulnerability to attacks.

Objects within the claimed area, such as storage containers and crafting stations, can be moved freely. With the Secrets of Gloomrot update, players can now build up to six floors in their castles. Game sessions are hosted on either PvE or PvP servers.

V Rising: How to Charge Battery?

To charge your batteries in V Rising, follow these steps:

  • Find 10 Depleted Batteries by exploring Gloomrot. You can find them by breaking crates, defeating robotic enemies, and opening chests. They are more common in the northern half of Gloomrot.
  • Look for a Lightning Harvester in various points of interest in Gloomrot. Thunderstrike Peak is the easiest place to find them, near the Vampire Waygates.
  • Interact with the Lightning Harvester to charge your batteries. Click on the "Charged Battery" button that appears on the screen. This will use up 10 Depleted Batteries and give you 10 Charged Batteries.
  • Keep in mind that using the Lightning Harvester will overload it temporarily. You'll need to wait for a cooldown period of one in-game day before you can use it again.
  • If you need more Charged Batteries after exhausting the harvesters on Thunderstrike Peak, head to Stormdrain Hills in the west to find more harvesters.
  • Consider setting up a base in the center of Northern Gloomrot for safety, as the enemies in this area are quite powerful and can pose a threat even to well-equipped players.

How to Find a Depleted Battery?

You can get Depleted Batteries from Machines and Tech Scrap Piles. Machines like Gattlers, Lightning Protectors, Zappers, and Drillers are good targets for looting them.

Gloomrot North is a place where you can find these enemies, but it's tough, so be prepared. If you prefer a non-combat option, you can buy a Depleted from the Treasure Hunter Trade Post for 20 Goldsun Coins.

How to Get a Charged Battery?

To get a Charged Battery in V Rising, use a Lightning Harvester found near points of interest or in Gloomrot North. Since you need Depleted Batteries for these, it's faster to use a good mount rather than walking. Approach a Lightning Harvester, select the "Charged Battery" option, and wait a few seconds.
