However, Aaron proves his resilience on his first day and expresses that the nickname deeply affects him, as it reminds him of the traumatic night his roommate Patrick was murdered. Respecting his feelings, Harper agrees to find a new nickname for him.

Aaron also demonstrates his investigative skills early on by solving the case of a cat burglar who had come to Los Angeles. Thanks to his contributions, the LAPD sets up a successful sting operation to apprehend the criminal.

In the episode "End Game", Aaron is approached by his mother, who asks him to participate in her new reality show and publicly discuss Patrick's murder to clear his name.

In "The Fugitive", he is tasked with watching over Detective Lopez’s mother after she is hospitalized, engaging in lighthearted small talk where she offers to set him up with her niece in exchange for matching her son with one of his cousins. Though he agrees initially, Lopez later advises him it’s a waste of time, and Aaron ultimately agrees.

In "Death Notice", he collaborates with Lopez and Harper to investigate a series of home robberies, taking initiative in solving the case. In "Daddy Cop", Aaron partners with Nolan to follow significant leads, uncovering criminals hiding in the station.

In "Death Sentence", he joins Chen in helping Tamara when a child’s mother goes missing, sharing his decision to live financially independent from his wealthy parents. Aaron explains that this choice allows him to grow into his own man, showcasing his commitment to building a life defined by his values and efforts rather than his privileged upbringing.

Through these experiences, Aaron demonstrates his dedication to his work and personal growth.

Despite the severity, Aaron successfully survived the surgery and, over the following weeks, made a full recovery. While undergoing physical therapy, he purchases a new motorcycle but chooses not to inform his doctor, reflecting his eagerness to return to normalcy.

Although Aaron is keen to resume his duties on the streets, Sergeant Grey temporarily assigns him to desk duty until he is fully cleared and the suspects responsible for his injury are apprehended.

In a gesture of gratitude, Aaron offers Nolan and Bailey the use of his family's spiritual retreat for their wedding after a neighbor’s demolition project disrupts their original plans. This act underscores Aaron’s appreciation for Bailey, who played a role in saving his life, and further demonstrates his thoughtfulness and loyalty to his friends and colleagues.
