Who Plays Ruby in Death in Paradise?
Ruby Patterson in Death in Paradise is played by Shyko Amos. Before she got this role, Shyko wasn’t very well-known. She started her journey by joining the National Youth Music Theatre, which helped her with acting and performing. She then went on to study Politics at Queen Mary University and earned a BA Honours Degree.
After that, she continued her education by doing a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre at The Guildford School of Acting. Once she finished her studies, she signed with an agent and took on a few small TV roles. Her big break came when she was cast as Ruby Patterson in the popular show Death in Paradise.
Why Did Ruby Leave Death in Paradise?
Ruby Patterson left Death in Paradise because Shyko Amos, the actress who played her, decided not to return for season 10. In a YouTube video, Shyko got emotional and thanked her fans and everyone who helped her during her time on the show.
She mentioned that she faced some challenges when she first started, but she was grateful for the support she received. Shyko hinted that her next role might be very different from Ruby, and while she won't be in the new season, the show is still continuing with other actors.
