In the Fallout series, there's a character played by Walton Goggins who has two sides: Cooper Howard and The Ghoul. When we see Cooper Howard in flashbacks, he looks like a regular, charming person. But when we meet The Ghoul in the Wasteland, he's a completely different person.
The Ghoul works as a bounty hunter, but in the flashbacks, we learn that he used to be a good husband and father before he turned into this tough guy. Before he became The Ghoul, he was known as Cooper Howard, a famous actor.

Walton Goggins as The Ghoul
Walton Goggins' work in Western movies showed a part of his real personality. He liked horseback riding and even talked with his wife about living on a ranch away from the city. He was also serious about his values and how he appeared to others. This became clear when he argued with a director about his character doing something he didn't agree with.
But in the show Fallout season 1, things changed. Cooper's values seemed to disappear along with society. Now, he's known as The Ghoul, a tough and ruthless bounty hunter who doesn't care about right or wrong. He will do anything to get the job done, even if it means killing people. And because of his skills, he's gained a big reputation in the Wasteland.
Fallout Plot
The story is about what happens after a big war in 2077. This war was a nuclear one, where bombs destroyed a lot of things. But instead of our usual history, this story imagines a different path for Earth. After World War II, people made big advancements in nuclear technology. Because of this, the world ended up looking like something from an old-fashioned future, with strange technology mixed with old stuff.
People who survived the war hid in a shelters known as Vaults. But what they didn't know was that each Vault was meant for a special experiment on the people living inside. Fast forward 200 years to the year 2296, a girl named Lucy leaves her Vault, Vault 33, to go find her dad. He's been taken away by someone. She has to travel through the ruined city of Los Angeles, which is now a dangerous wasteland.
On her journey, she meets two other characters: a young member of the Brotherhood of Steel, who are a group with advanced technology, and a ghoul who hunts down people for a living. Each of them has their own secrets and reasons for being out in the wasteland.
