America chose the top 5 contestants for Season 7 of American Idol on ABC: Abi Carter, Emmy Russell, Jack Blocker, Triston Harper, and Will Moseley. In the Top 5, the Top 3 were chosen. Now, deciding the winner for the finale will be tough because all of them are really good. In an interview, the show's judges said that all the performers are great and talented so choosing the winner will be tougher as every contestant does their best and voters decide their fate on the show.

As of now predicting the winner is hard as everyone is best and there will be only three contestants going for the final on 19 May 2024. The singers picked for the Top 3 will perform again on Sunday, May 19, in the big finale. They'll sing their best to win over America's votes one more time. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Jon Bon Jovi will mentor them.

The Idol Across America virtual auditions happened again. People could audition from home between August 2 and September 8, 2023. There were also some auditions where people could go in person. The producers picked contestants from these auditions. Then, those chosen got to audition in front of the judges. The "platinum ticket" came back from the last two seasons. In the auditions, they gave out three platinum tickets. The people who got platinum tickets were Odell Bunton Jr., Abi Carter, and Julia Gagnon.

Hollywood week happened on December 10, 2023, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. In the Showstopper round, the top 56 contestants sang for the judges and a live audience at the Barker Hangar. They filmed this round on December 11, 2023, and it was shown on TV on April 1, 2024. .
