Why is The Bachelorette Not at The Mansion?
The Bachelorette is not at the usual Bachelor Mansion this season because of the filming schedule. Right after the season premiere, Jenn Tran, the new Bachelorette, and the contestants had to travel to Australia. Because of this tight schedule, they filmed the first episode at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California, instead of the traditional mansion in Agoura Hills.
The Bachelor Mansion, which is actually a private home rented by ABC for 42 days each year, couldn’t fit this season's plan. So, to make things easier, they chose a new location for the premiere before heading off to exotic places like Australia and New Zealand.
Where is The Bachelorette Mansion?
The Bachelorette Mansion is usually in Agoura Hills, California. It's a Mediterranean-style house owned and lived in by Marshall Haraden and his family. ABC rents it for 42 days each year to film The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. However, for Season 21 with Jenn Tran, they filmed the premiere at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California, instead.
This change was because Jenn and her suitors needed to travel to Australia right after the first episode, so they used a different location to start the season.
Who is Jenn Tran in The Bachelorette?
Jenn Tran is the star of Season 21 of The Bachelorette. She's a 26-year-old student studying to be a physician assistant. Her role is important because she's the first Asian-American to lead the Bachelor franchise. This makes her a trailblazer, breaking new ground in the show's history.
Jenn's journey to find love starts at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in California, not the usual Bachelor mansion. She brings a fresh perspective and starts her adventure by traveling with her suitors to places like Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii. Her season is all about shaking things up and bringing diversity to the search for love on TV.

The Bachelorette
"The Bachelorette" is a reality TV show where one woman meets around 25 single men. They go on dates together in different places, like group outings or one-on-one time. Each week, she decides who gets to stay by giving out roses. Those who don't get a rose go home. As the season goes on, she visits the hometowns of the men she likes the most to meet their families.
Towards the end, they have private dates called Fantasy Suites. In the finale, she picks one man to be with, sometimes from the last two or three. They often talk about their relationship on a follow-up show called "After the Final Rose."
