Yes, there will be Alice in Borderland Season 3, netflix has renewed for Season 3. The announcement has been made in september 2023, Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will return as Arisu and Usagi.

Season two finished in March 2022 but wasn't released until December. If season three takes the same nine months of post-production, fans can expect it to come out in November or December.

At the end of season two, it seems like Arisu and his friends have escaped the twisted game and returned to the real world, with no memory of their time in Borderland. However, the appearance of the Joker card shows that it’s not over yet.

Directed by Shinsuke Sato, it stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya. They play friends stuck in an empty Tokyo where they must take part in deadly games. The type and difficulty of these games are shown by playing cards. If they don't play and win, their "visas" expire, and they are killed by lasers from the sky.

Alice in Borderland Season 2 Ending Explained

In the intense battle against the King of Spades, Arisu’s group — Kuina, Ann, Heiya, Usagi, and Aguni — almost die. None of them, including Niragi and Chishiya, are well enough to enter the final game.

However, Arisu drags Usagi to the last game: the Queen of Hearts. The Game Master is Mira, who we saw at the end of Season 1 in the control room. Mira suggests a simple game of croquet but spends most of the game manipulating Arisu and Usagi.

She makes Arisu believe that this world is his illusion, and he nearly gives up until Usagi cuts herself to prove the Borderlands are real. After this, Arisu and Usagi confess their feelings for each other, and Arisu breaks free from Mira’s lies just in time.

Although Mira wins the croquet game, it doesn't matter because Arisu wins the overall game by not quitting. With this, all the Face Cards are defeated. Mira is killed by a sky laser, and the players are given a choice: stay in this world or return to theirs. Except for the psychopathic Banda and his new friend Yaba, everyone chooses to leave.

They all wake up in the same hospital, where Arisu learns that a meteor destroyed part of Tokyo. When the blast hit, everyone still alive was sent to the Borderlands, a kind of purgatory.

None of the players remember their time together in the Borderlands, but Arisu and Usagi, now strangers, meet again at a hospital vending machine, hinting at a future together. As the camera shows the hospital filled with happy people, we see a table with playing cards. All the cards blow away except one: the Joker.
