Coco Plot

On the Day of the Dead, Miguel discovers a photo suggesting he's related to a famous musician, Ernesto de la Cruz. Determined to prove his connection, Miguel steals Ernesto's guitar and ends up in the Land of the Dead. To return, he seeks a blessing from Ernesto but discovers the truth: Ernesto stole songs from Miguel's real great-great-grandfather, Hector.
With his family's help, Miguel exposes Ernesto, reunites Hector with Imelda, and saves Hector's memory. Eventually, Miguel's family embraces music again, Hector is honored, and the family celebrates together, both in the land of the living and the dead.
