Will There Be a Disclaimer Season 2?
There will probably not be a season 2 of Disclaimer. The show is based on a book by Renée Knight and is a psychological thriller with only seven episodes. Because it is called a miniseries, it means that the story is meant to be told in one short series without more seasons.
The last episode of Disclaimer will come out on November 15. This means that viewers can expect the complete story to end with this episode. Fans will get to see how everything wraps up, but there are no plans for more seasons after this one. (Source: Spoiler)
Is Disclaimer Based on True Story?
No, Disclaimer is not a true story or about real people. It is based on a 2015 novel by Renée Knight, who helped write the show with Alfonso Cuarón. The story is about a successful TV journalist, played by Cate Blanchett.
Her life falls apart when she reads a book that reveals her biggest secret, which she thought only one person knew. While the story has themes like guilt and personal trauma that some people may relate to, it is all made up and not based on real events.
