Will There Be a Fallout 5?
Right now, there isn't much news about Fallout 5. We only know a little bit about it, and it's still in the early stages of development. It might be disappointing to hear, but Bethesda, the company making the game, seems to be focusing on other projects for now. What do we know about Fallout 5? Very little.
We've heard some hints about it since late 2021, but only a few details have been shared. Todd Howard, a big name at Bethesda, mentioned working on the story for the game with the creators of a TV show. But that's about it. We have yet to determine which engine the game will use, although it's likely to be the same one used for another Bethesda game called Starfield.
It could be a long time before we hear more about Fallout 5. Right now, Bethesda is busy with another big game called The Elder Scrolls VI. They've said it could be years before that game is finished, so Fallout 5 might take even longer. Another studio, like Obsidian, could work on a Fallout game in the meantime. But that would still take a while, and we haven't heard anything about it yet. So, while we wait for more news, there's not much we can do except be patient and hope for the best.
Release Date

Fallout 5 Delayed the Release of Concepts From The Fallout TV Show

Jonathon Nolan, one of the creators, said it felt like they were making "Fallout 5" because the show tells a new story in the game's world. Todd Howard talked more about this, saying he had talked with the show's team and asked them to avoid some story parts because they might use them in Fallout 5 later.
He said, “There were some things where I said, ‘don’t do this because we are going to do that in Fallout 5,” Howard revealed, with showrunner Graham Wagner adding, “I think we made Fallout 6.” This means the show and the game will explore different parts of the Fallout world. The show will focus on a person from a vault exploring Los Angeles, which might mean the next game could go to the West Coast. This gives us a clue about what to expect from Fallout 5.
What's the Deal With PlayStation?
Right now, Bethesda Game Studios seems to be focusing on releasing its new games only on Xbox and PC. Starfield is already out as an Xbox-exclusive game, and leaked Microsoft documents suggest that The Elder Scrolls VI might also be exclusive to Xbox. This makes it likely that Fallout 5 will follow the same path.
However, Xbox has started to share some of its games with other consoles. They announced that games like Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Pentiment would be available on other platforms. This shift shows that Xbox might be open to having some of its games on more than just Xbox consoles.

Fallout 5 Will Feature a More Advanced Engine
