Blue Lock Wiki
Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It started in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in August 2018 and has 29 volumes as of May 2024. The story focuses on a training program called Blue Lock, created by the Japan Football Union after Japan's soccer team performed poorly in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Blue Lock aims to develop the best striker in the world, focusing on ego and skill. If players don't meet its tough standards, they can't play for Japan again. The main character, Yoichi Isagi, a high school player not well-known, joins Blue Lock to become the ultimate striker.
