Early Access Hotfix 57 for Dark and Darker is now available, introducing several updates and fixes aimed at enhancing game stability, balance, and performance. This patch addresses various issues to improve the overall gaming experience.

Patch Notes:

• Fixed an issue where Warlock's Bolt of Darkness was not treated as a projectile.
• Fixed an issue where items could not be obtained from the Hoard despite having inventory space.
• Fixed an issue where the Adventure Rank indicator was not displayed properly in the lobby UI and nameplate.
• Physical Healing and Magical Healing tooltips are now displayed in the detailed information panel.
• Improved Fighter's Swift movement speed penalty reduction from 20% to 30%.
• Removed penalty from Fighter's Weapon Mastery.
• Changed Barbarian's Rage physical damage reduction penalty from -15% to -10% and movement speed bonus from 9% to 10%.
• Reduced Wizard's Arcane Shield total shield from 20 to 15.
• Changed Wizard's Meditation tick interval from 1.5 seconds to 0.75 seconds.
• Changed Cleric's Perseverance damage absorption from 3 to 2.
• Changed Cleric's Protection from Evil bonus effect from 50% to 30%.
• Reduced Cleric’s Holy Strike casting time from 2.25 seconds to 1.75 seconds.
• Reduced Cleric's Sanctuary casting time from 2.75 seconds to 2.25 seconds.
• Reduced Cleric's Earthquake casting time from 2.75 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
• Reduced Cleric's Locust Swarm casting time from 2.75 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
• Cleric's Locust Swarm now reduces the amount of physical/magical healing the target receives by 50%.
• Changed Cleric's Locust Swarm damage per second from 2 to 13 and no longer scales.
• Changed Warlock's Torture Mastery attribute bonus ratio from 0.1 to 0.05.
• Changed Warlock's Curse of Pain instant damage from 10 to 7.
• Increased Druid's Herbal Sensing range from 450 to 600.
• Changed Druid's Thorn Barrier height from 150 to 120.
• Changed Druid's Treant spell tier from 3 to 5 and count from 3 to 2.
• Reduced Crystal Sword’s movement penalty from -30 to -25.
• Increased Crystal Sword's base magic weapon damage to match physical weapon damage.
• Increased weapon damage for Bardiche, Halberd, Battle Axe, Double Axe, War Maul, and Quarterstaff.
• Cobalt crafted items now provide 3.5% armor penetration as a primary attribute.
• Added new craft items.
• Added GCX Torch.
• Added season final quests and cosmetic rewards.
• Lowered the price for Throwing Knives and Francisca Axes to match the individual price from the previous season.
• Quests can no longer be completed when in the ‘Ready’ status.
• You and your party members' gear scores are now updated in real-time.
• Gearscore is now displayed for dead players.

Dark and Darker is a first-person game that blends dungeon crawling with role-playing elements. Players can choose from nine character classes, including fighters, barbarians, and wizards. The game features PvPvE (player versus player versus environment) combat, where players fight monsters and other players while searching for valuable loot.

The environment becomes increasingly hostile, eventually eliminating players who haven't escaped. Surviving players can store or sell their loot. Early access updates have added features like an item marketplace, gear-based matchmaking, and multiclassing.
