- END-GAME
- Health and damage levels have been reduced in the Pit. The adjustment is most significant as players approach tier 60, so more players can fully participate in Masterworking.
- Developer’s Note: We're adjusting the pit so more players can enjoy a smoother end game progression experience.
- All Tormented bosses have had their health reduced by 30%. This includes Blood Boils from Tormented Echo of Lilith.
BUG FIXES
- Fixed an issue where Holy Bolts Elixir's damage was scaling unintentionally high when it was triggered from pets such as Necromancer's Minions.
- Fixed an issue where casting Boulders with Dolmen Stone would cause it to not cast at all. Boulders now have a limit of 10 but their damage is increased by 10% for each boulder.
- Fixed an issue Rapid Fire with Scoundrel's Kiss equipped couldn't properly hit close targets and could sometimes fire projectiles behind the player. This also increases the radius of the explosions by 25%.
- Fixed an issue where Pets were being counted as minions in various cases.

Diablo 4 Plot
Diablo IV unfolds fifty years after the climax of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, following the devastation wrought by the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, where millions have fallen victim to their wrath. In the aftermath of this chaos, a mythical figure reemerges—Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto, the mythical creator of humanity, whose name is whispered in legends. Her influence over Sanctuary is profound, fostering the darkest aspects of its inhabitants and casting the world into a bleak, despairing state.
The narrative of Diablo IV bears a resemblance to Diablo II, as it is a story that "continues the lineage" of its predecessor; in this case, the game's protagonists are on a quest to confront Lilith within Sanctuary. A central theme of the game is "resentment"; the narrative explores the theme of hatred, as the world and the protagonists' hearts are consumed by it. The Horadrim and Inarius characters are pivotal to the game's storyline, with their conflict with Lilith being a major driving force behind the plot.
After the game is released, the basic story will grow in two sections. The initial growth will come through expansions, which will add to the main game's story. The second expansion will happen with the introduction of the game's seasons. Each season features its own independent story that doesn't connect directly with the main story.
Diablo 4 Gameplay
The fundamental principle behind the gameplay of the series is about slowly acquiring more powerful gear by overcoming tougher foes. These foes are battled with various character class abilities that can be enhanced through equipment and talent trees. This idea is applied to advance through the narrative and tasks. Foes are categorized into different monster clans, each with a specific theme, fighting style, and setting. Within these clans, there are various types of characters, each with distinct roles that enable them to work together in special ways. To set them apart, they have unique shapes, positions, and weapons. The creative director, Sebastian Stepien, mentioned that the aim was to develop a storyline that felt more "real" compared to Diablo III. To accomplish this, the story focuses on the lives of the common people of Sanctuary instead of "politics, royalty, or any other high fantasy setting."
The success of a playable character in battle is influenced by their skills and the enhancements they receive from their gear. Skills like attack and critical chance boost the amount of damage dealt. Diablo IV brings in three new skills: Angelic, Demonic, and Ancestral Power. Angelic and Demonic Power change the length of positive and negative effects respectively.
