When is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero coming out?
Recent rumors concerning Dragon Ball Sparking Zero indicate that the game will be launched on October 1, 2024. SergioM3R, a dataminer, shared this information with @DBsHype on X (previously Twitter). However, SergioM3R remarked that this date could be a placeholder, which means it's an approximate estimate rather than a definitive release date.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the game was rated in Singapore a week ago and had a 2024 release date listed at one point, making an October 1 release possible. Previous Dragon Ball games, such as the Budokai Tenkaichi series, have all been released on October 1, implying that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will most likely follow similarly.
Aside from the release date, there have been some significant upgrades to the game. New modes of play and characters, including Goten, Kid Trunks, and Caulifla, have been added to the roster. The game will also have fusion forms such as Gotenks and Kefla, as well as a new 5v5. As the release date approaches, further details regarding Dragon Ball Sparking Zero are likely to be unveiled, potentially at the Summer Games Fest in a few months.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero is an upcoming fighting game for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. The fourth game in the Budokai Tenkaichi series will have both new and existing playable characters, forms, and stages, as well as destructible components. As with past Budokai Tenkaichi games, this title is expected to feature lesser-known Dragon Ball franchise characters.
One interesting feature is that Sparking! Zero will be the first Budokai Tenkaichi game to use its Japanese title overseas. The game has a tremendous roster of 164 characters, surpassing Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Gameplay
The essential gameplay of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero remains familiar, but new features are introduced to improve the fast-paced bouts. One such feature is the Skill Count, an increasing number depending on fighting maneuvers that are utilized to activate special powers. The Short Dash technique enables lightning-fast mobility, allowing for techniques such as avoiding strikes, releasing charged attacks or Ki Blasts while moving, and effortlessly transitioning into a dragon dash for strong combinations.
Another new element is the Revenge Counter, which allows players to strike back while absorbing an opponent's attack, mimicking the series' fast-paced fighting, in which characters can attack while being hit. The game also has the Super Perception counter command, which allows players to predict and counter numerous attacks, including Ki Wave blasts.
Finally, the Vanishing Assaults tactic enables an instant approach and pouncing on opponents, frequently resulting in fast defeats. These new dynamics deepen and enliven the gameplay, improving the experience of high-speed fighting in the Dragon Ball universe.
