Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is an action role-playing fighting game made by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is based on the Dragon Ball series and is the sequel to the 2015 game Dragon Ball Xenoverse. The game came out on October 25, 2016, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on October 27 for Windows.

In Japan, it was first available only on PlayStation 4. It was later released for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 7, 2017, and worldwide on September 22, 2017. The game also came out on Stadia on December 17, 2019. By May 2023, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Release Date

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 producer Jun Song shares new details about adding the Future Saga to the game. The Future Saga Chapter 1 will launch on May 24, 2024, for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox Series X|S version will support Smart Delivery, meaning players can carry over all their progress and DLC from the Xbox One version.

In the Future Saga, players will experience new storylines with villains from the future. The update promises exciting new missions and battles. Players can look forward to new challenges and adventures in the Dragon Ball universe.

Xenoverse 2 Gameplay

The gameplay in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is similar to the first game. It takes place in 3D battle arenas based on places from the Dragon Ball world. The main hub is Conton City, which is seven times bigger than Toki-Toki City from the first game. Players can explore the hub world freely and fly in some areas after unlocking the ability.

They can also visit places like the Namekian Village and Frieza's ship. Players learn new skills from masters and other characters in these areas. In Xenoverse 2, players can customize their characters from five races: Humans, Saiyans, Majins, Namekians, and Frieza's race, each with unique abilities.

The game includes race-specific quests, minigames, and transformations. Players' choices affect the story. Multiplayer servers support up to 3,000 players. There's also a training mode called Training School. Players can use different types of ki blasts depending on their race or Super Soul.

They can transfer saved data from the first game, bringing their custom character as the "Hero" of Toki Toki City.

Xenoverse 2 Plot

Two years after Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the hero is given a mission by Elder Kai to fix history. They meet the Supreme Kai of Time and her bird, TokiToki. The first mission is to fix Goku's battle with Raditz, who is enhanced by dark magic. Towa and Mira, who caused the changes, have gathered allies from different times.

The hero helps fix various events, like Gohan and Krillin escaping Dodoria and Zarbon and fights many villains, including Turles, Captain Ginyu, Frieza, Cooler, and Broly. They also aid Future Gohan against Android 16 and Mira. The hero works with Trunks to stop Towa and Mira's plans.

In the end, Mira absorbs Towa and an egg, becoming very powerful. With Goku's help, they defeat Mira. The egg hatches into a new universe, and a celebration follows. The hero helps fix history in several timelines and deals with time distortions. The Supreme Kai of Time ensures no further alterations to history occur.
