At the end of Ghost Ship, Maureen sets off explosives on the Graza, causing the ship to explode and Jack to be blown apart. As long as the ship floats, the souls of those who died on it are trapped. With the ship sinking, Katie helps Maureen escape.

Meanwhile, the other trapped souls, including Katie, are freed and ascend to Heaven. This means that with the destruction of the ship, the souls are no longer bound to it, and they can finally find peace after being stuck for so long.

Ghost Ship Plot
