Oasis
Oasis is an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. The original lineup included Liam Gallagher (vocals), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass), and Tony McCarroll (drums). Noel Gallagher joined soon after as lead guitarist and vocalist, becoming the band's main songwriter. Oasis became one of the most successful Britpop bands, known for hits like Definitely Maybe and What's the Story) Morning Glory?.
The band achieved massive success in the 1990s, with record-breaking album sales and iconic concerts, including two nights at Knebworth. Over time, the lineup changed, with members leaving and new ones joining. Despite their success, Oasis disbanded in 2009 after Noel Gallagher left. The Gallagher brothers continued their music careers separately, with Noel focusing on his solo work and Liam forming Beady Eye.
As of 2024, Oasis has sold over 75 million records worldwide and remains one of the best-selling music artists ever. They have won numerous awards, including Brit Awards and NME Awards, and will reunite for a UK and Ireland tour in 2025.
