Berserk manga series is not finished. The anime is still running. Berserk was adapted into a 25-episode anime series by OLM, which covered the Golden Age story arc. It was broadcast from October 1997 to March 1998. The Golden Age arc was adapted into a trilogy of anime films, the first two films premiered in 2012 and the third film premiered in 2013. Is Berserk Going to Continue?

Berserk is going to continue. The future of the series was uncertain following the death of Miura in May 2021. The last chapter done by Miura was published in September 2021. Hakusensha and Kouji Mori announced in June 2022 that the series will continue.

What is Berserk?

Berserk is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in the medieval dark fantasy world, the story revolves around the characters of Guts, a lone swordsman, and Griffith, the leader of the mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk". The series follows the journey of Guts seeking revenge on Griffith, who betrayed him and sacrificed his comrades to become powerful demon.

Berserk Plot

Guts was born from the hanged corpse of his mother and was raised as a mercenary by his abusive and adoptive father, Gambino, following the death of his mother, Shisu. After killing Gambino in self-defense, Guts fled his group and became a wandering mercenary. His powerful fighting style attracted the attention of Griffith, the leader of mercenary group called the Band of the Hawk. He makes Guts join the group after defeating him. The kingdom of Midland hires the Band to defeat the the Chuder Empire. Guts then learns about Griffith's desire to rule his kingdom and of the pendant he possesses, called the Behelit. After Nosferatu Zodd spares them, he warns Guts that he will die for being Griffith's friend.
