The game, developed using Unreal Engine 5, features new mechanics like the "Heat" system and "Tornado" hits. It also includes an Arcade Quest mode with tournaments and custom avatars. Tekken 8 was well-received for its exciting gameplay and advancements in the series.

Tekken 8 Gameplay

Tekken 8 keeps the core fighting gameplay of previous Tekken games but adds some new features. The game is designed to be more aggressive, rewarding players who attack rather than defend. A new feature called "Heat" allows characters to do extra damage, perform new moves, and dash cancel their attacks. When in the "Heat" state, characters can also stop the Heat timer by using their moves. Fighters receive chip damage when blocking heavy or Heat State attacks, and can only regain health by attacking their opponents.
