Career
Kelly Cheng started playing volleyball at the University of Southern California in 2014 with Alexa Strange. She later teamed up again with Sara Hughes, and they won the AVCA Pairs National Championship. Cheng was named an AVCA All-American in 2015, and she helped lead USC to two NCAA Championships in 2016 and 2017.
She graduated in 2017 with a degree in sociology. In her professional career, Cheng won her first AVP Gold Series championship in Chicago with Sara Hughes. After Hughes left, Cheng partnered with Sarah Sponcil. Together, they won a silver medal at a 2019 FIVB event in The Hague and qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
