Is Maya Leaving Station 19?

It is unknown whether Maya is leaving Station 19 or not as no official announcement found regarding her departure. These speculations started circulating after the series' storyline. In the latest episode, Carina finds out she's pregnant. There was a lot of foreshadowing between her and Maya. Maya told Carina, "I'll see you at home" at the medic tent and later texted her about wanting lasagna. Usually, this type of scene always ends up in a sad ending so fans are worrying that Maya may die.

The stress is even higher because next week is the series finale. Killing Maya in the last episode would add a lot of drama but would fall into the harmful "bury your gays" trope. The show has supported the LGBTQ community from the start, so it's hard to believe they would kill Maya just as she and Carina are starting their family. We'll have to wait until next week to find out.

Maya's Role in Station 19

Maya DeLuca-Bishop is a lieutenant and former captain at Station 19 of the Seattle Fire Department. She is married to Carina DeLuca-Bishop, and they have a son named Liam. She had an abusive father who pushed her hard in sports, controlling her diet and training. She missed out on normal teen activities and developed a crush on a teammate, Hima. After helping Hima during a race, her father punished her harshly. Despite this, Maya won a gold medal in the 2012 Olympics, even with a sprained ankle.
